For a old graphic novel, this was actually a pretty entertaining read. It's a retelling of the Greek myths but with more naughty humor along with modern-day references. The artwork and colors are pretty good for their time, and the stories within are entertaining (three of them altogether) along with some exploration of philosophy and mythology for a decent price make for a solid buy. I especially liked the Hades and Persephone tale - it was funny to see the idea that they eloped together show more and made it look like a kidnapping. ;) show less
I actually like the changes to Diana's role that happen in this book, and I think that they have a good handle on her character. Unfortunately, it can't make up for the character assassination against Hippolyta nor can it make up for the horrible cheesecake art, which could not be more inappropriate on any other comic.
I actually bought this bagged up from a comic store but it was in their "rpg" section so I thought it was an rpg illustrated by Sam Keith (the Maxx), so I jumped on it. But it was still fun and funny. Basically making fun of Zeus and his promiscuousness and also poking at philosophers.

This is the final collection in the Cthulhu Tales series, and overall it's fine. The artwork varies from fantastic to decent, as it did in previous installments. Likewise, the stories themselves are quite variable. The attempts at humor were nowhere near as good as the previous installments, but some of the 'creepier' stories were decent. In particular, the final story was fairly gripping. I appreciated more attention being paid to Nyarlathotep as well, although I found the second half of show more "Where Am I?" to be lacking.

The reanimation story ( "Lovecraft SVU" ) was fairly good, however, if only for the general creativity of the idea. I'd recommend this book to read, but not to buy. It's a fun creative exercise and bound to inspire anyone wanting to write Cthulhu Mythos stories on their own. It's a good testament to just how varied the stories can be.
