A once revered French historian, M. Rollin here appears in a cheap edition.
Used by several former American Presidents in their education, including John Quincy Adams, and discussed by him and his father vis letters while John Adams was Ambassador to France at age 9
"... worth their weight in gold. -- for his [Rollin's] excellent reflections on every remarkable event that occurs in history he informs his readers of the true source of every action and instructs them in the method of forming themselves upon the models of virtue to be met with in History." (Diary, 8 March 1754).
