Tiffany has recently lost her mother to cancer. She decides that she and her father need to get away, to relax and cope together. A beach vacation out in San Diego seems to be just the thing to help them out. Meanwhile Jeremy's girlfriend Eve has decided she's going to be spending her vacation out at the beach as well. He decides to go visit her and finds out that due to a mix up, Eve and Tiffany are sharing the beach house. What ends up happening after that is a tale of comedy, romance, show more mixed in with a little surf and sand.

Seeing as how it's winter and 20 degrees outside right now, I wish that I could escape inside the setting of this book. A week at a beach house by the ocean would be a relaxing vacation right now. And that is what reading this book was like. I could picture myself walking on the sand, listening to the waves, sitting out on the deck, watching the sunset, eating fresh seafood. Trish Perry paints a marvelous picture that is a surefire armchair traveler. I have not read the first two books in the original Beach House series by Sally John but from what I can tell it wasn't a hindrance to my reading. I have however read the first two books by Trish Perry that share the same characters. I would have to say out of the three books featuring these characters, this one is my favorite. Jeremy has been the character who's story I've been waiting to read about. It's the British accent and the fact that I kept picturing Jude Law throughout the book. Hot British guy at a beach? I'm so there! Who would have thought I'd be rooting for Tiffany after her appearances in the other two books? She has changed a lot and has become more down to earth, less snotty and a real genuine Christian. She's still learning about her new faith for it's understandable and realistic when her old tendencies pop up every now and then. And wow, I wanted to smack Jeremy's girlfriend, Eve. I did not like her character at all, and I wouldn't have blamed Tiffany at all for going back to her old ways whenever Eve would pop up. I would have to say she's one of the most irritating and vicious characters I've read in a while. The story is great as it flip flops between Jeremy and Tiffany's POVs. I really like the chemistry between them as well as their interactions with the other characters. Overall this book was really fun to read. It's a great way to escape the doldrums of your own life. Just sit back and relax with a fruity drink and pretend you're at the beach enjoying this book. I'll be looking forward to the next one!

Tina Milano is a counselor who loves to visit Milly's Tea Shop with it's homey atmosphere and wonderful tasty treats. She even holds a ladies group meeting there once a week. Since Tina and Milly are good friends Milly asks if she would mind helping out a friend with some advice about dealing with his children. Tina loves her job and is always willing to help so she gladly accepts not realizing that the friend Milly was talking about was the incredibility handsome produce guy that delivers show more produce to Milly's Tea Shop! Zack Cooper is trying hard to keep it all together since his wife left him and the kids four years ago. He thought things were going fine until both his kids start getting into trouble. Feeling out of his league he shares a little of this with Milly. Milly encourages him to call Tina. When Tina and Zack finally meet there is definitely a spark. But their relationship is strictly professional. Will they keep it professional or will that spark turn into a full fledged flame?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved the whole tea shop setting. It was such a warm and friendly place to go. Milly is such a sweet and wise woman. I loved our lead couple. No cardboard characters in this tale. They were as real as real could be. Tina was such a down-to-earth person and I loved how real she was. She was someone I could be friends with. Zack was a great guy. I loved his gentlemen ways and sweet yet tough personality. Dylan and Sherry were great kids too. I enjoyed the interaction between all of the characters. The story dealt with some complicated issues but there was also lots of humor throughout. I like that. This author does a great job at keeping your interest from beginning to end and does such a good job with her description that I could smell and almost taste the yummy treats that Milly was bringing out for Tina to try while in her tea shop. There is a spiritual thread running through the story but nothing heavy. I would call this a feel good, uplifting story, filled with lots of great characters and zippy dialog. I recommend you drop into Milly's and have Tea for Two! A thank you goes to the author and Harvest House Publishers for this complimentary copy for my review.

This is the 3rd book in the Beach House Series, but the 1st book in the series that Trish Perry authored. She did a very good job of picking up the beach house theme where author Sally John left off. I enjoyed myself as I read this story and would find myself smiling and laughing out loud a few times. As the back of the book adequately states this is "a book that tells the touching and humorous story about how God uses even our mistakes to bring about His divine purposes." Tiffany LeBoeuf show more has lost her job, her Mom has recently passed away and her social life is going nowhere. Then she bumps into Jeremy, who she later discovers already has a girlfriend. So when Jeremy books his girlfriend to enjoy 2 weeks at a beach house, and Tiffany and her Dad accidentally book the same 2 weeks, things get complicated at the beach house; especially when Jeremy shows up to straighten things out. There are a series of surprises and mix-ups and although things get humorous at times, they also get a little heated at other times. There is a whole cast of characters I just enjoyed thoroughly and found myself totally enjoying my time at the beach! show less

This was a fun read. Tiffany has returned to town after caring for her mom during her terminal illness. She runs into this fabulous guy named Jeremy, but is determined not to fall back into her former "bad girl" ways since she just became a Christian. She is also worried about her Dad, so when a chance comes to spend some time at a beach house with him she takes it--after all she is also out of work and has nothing better to do. But she and her dad are shocked when they arrive at the house show more and find out that Jeremy's girlfriend Eve is already at the beach house due to a huge mix up. What follows is a lot of peope getting thrown together, discovering new friendships and attachments, and of course the right people end up wtih the right people at the end. It was a little heavy on characters (but if you've read the other books in the series that will help) but still a fun read and a satifying end to Perry's "beach house" series. show less
