Wonderful book by Ingrid Bergman’s daughter titled, Some of Me. A beautifully produced book with strange and unusual pictures from her life placed on the page with ample aesthetically pleasing margin space. Rossellini was married to Martin Scorsese and David Lynch. Both marriages ended in divorce. She spends much time examining her relationship with her mother and father, mostly her mother. Well written and psychologically perceptive, this is well worth reading. Rossellini was the show more exclusive model for Lancome for thirteen years and later helped launch the perfume Tresor. She says that she was brought up Catholic and still feels at home with that religious culture but self-identifies as a practitioner of ancestor worship. She was raised in Paris and Rome and felt that her accented English hurt her acting potential even though her mother told her to learn it while still young. show less
My husband got me this book (with DVD) for Christmas. It's science, it's sex, it's seriously entertaining. My only complaint is that while the short films come in two sections, the reproductive habits of insects and the reproductive habits of marine life, the book only covers the latter. Isabella Rossellini is brilliant here. It's not a kid's book, although I'd give it to interested young adults.
