The author sent me an advanced reading copy of this book (thanks!). It did not apprear to be something I would ever pick out to read. But I am so grateful that I did not pass it by. The small town of Anderson is full of wonderful characters and ordinary people. But all of a sudden, people who died during the day, started coming back to life at midnight. I'm still not a fan of coming-back-from-the-dead fiction, but I have to say that J.Knight writes one hell of a story. Some of his side show more vignettes are so vivid and memorable that I have to stop and think if I'm remembering something that actually happened or if I read it in the book. When this comes out in January, treat yourself. show less
Oddly -- and while I can't be sure, I don't think this is just nostalgia talking -- I find this movie to be quite solid in the Norwegian dub, and rather bad in the English original. Not just because it's missing Robin Williams. Somehow, the story feels flat in English, in a way that it doesn't in the Norwegian. So I've settled on a rating that's half a star higher than I'd normally give the English version alone to reflect that I really loved this one in Norwegian growing up.
Continuing with this interesting series. This time the crew go to Tatooine to attend Biggs memorial service. What actually happens is a lot more than they expect. Really loved the twist at the end and did not see that coming. Graphics are decent and storyline is good. Recommended for all types of Star Wars fans.
Here is a synopsis: Welcome to Anderson. It's pretty quiet here and that's the way we like it. One thing, though. Madge Duffy murdered her husband John last week, or thought she did. She spent the night in jail but then John walked out of the morgue none the worse for wear. And there's a bullet hole in Deputy Haws' shirt that he can't explain. Something's going on in this town of ours. Something that makes your skin crawl and your teeth grind in the night. I don't know what it is, but I'll show more tell you this: It scares me.

I found this novel quite by accident. I love the premise...what if your Loved ones died and returned. Things start going wrong in this small, sleepy town right from the start. It intrigued me, but I thought it might be just a run of the mill tale in the Zombie Genre. How wrong I was. The Author nailed it from the start. I couldn't put put it down. It's been a long time since I have read a Horror novel that held me so intently. The writing, Prose, suspense and inventive story are all Superb. A Nail biter.
I couldn't wait for the Finale...which was terrific by the way. Didn't let me down.
Reminds of the Best of early Stephen King.
A true tale of American Horror.
