My Review
What a BLAST of a good summer time this book turned out to be! If you are looking for the perfect summer or beach themed read, then this book needs to be at the top of your list. I just couldn't get enough of this one and Dragos and Pia just had me laughing all over the place. We see Dragos and Pia becoming new parents and have a infant son but what surprises them is that he is starting to shift into a baby dragon and we get to see a POV from the baby and it was FIRE!!! I don't show more think that I have ever seen that in a romance before and it just had a refreshing feel seeing life through his eyes and how he is looking at things, it was quite different. I loved seeing them searching for treasure as a family, there were blends of some danger here and there, and the LAUGHS were so infectious. I loved the adventure that their son gave them and he is only a baby lol And seeing the parenting styles of Dragos and Pia just worked so well. Poor Pia though, some of the scares that she goes through this book was endearing and just hilarious in so many ways. But she just goes with it, and you just know that she is going to be the BEST of mama's. I can't wait to see this little boy grow in the rest of the series.
Overall this book delivered on all scores and I couldn't get enough of the charm and laughs and adventures!!!! show less

I am, without a doubt, a very easy sell when it comes to Dragon Shifter Romances. I am not easily swayed by the pretty. I've been let down in the past and that makes me a little wary, not enough to forgo the genre, but enough so that I don't immediately say 'My precious!'.
Harrison however wrote a Dragon Shifter Romance I very much enjoyed.
On the one hand you have what I like least about Dragon Shifter Romances--the author takes the fact that because he's a dragon, Dragos is going to be an show more arrogant, overbearing and often times domineering human. He's going to bark his orders, likely have a short temper and everybody will be in some sort of feared awe of him. Or else. Then the heroine is going to be scared of him, deathly afraid, walk on eggshells and immediately resentful if she snaps at him (justifiably or otherwise).
Pia does not do this! She does not take any crap from Dragos! She begins scared, but to be fair she was stealing from him so I'd be scared too. She doesn't let him push her around; she doesn't just jump into bed with him because he does the cave-dragon thing and declares her 'his mate'. Even after they go to bed together she's like 'Wait. What does this mean to you exactly?' and then calls him on his BS.
In short Pia cracked me up. And Dragos had no clue how to deal with her. She didn't fall to his charms, to his blustering, to his 'I'm a scary Dragon!' routine. I loved her plain and simple, not that her awesomeness is contained with just handling Dragos. Later, when facing against the Dark Elf King, she's very blas‚ are-we-done-here-yet.with him. Pia spins a highly plausible, if slightly skewed accounting of the events all the while plotting her escape. Is she scared? Yes.terrified even. But she doesn't let that faze her.
Honestly if Pia wasn't so awesome, and Dragos didn't immediately recognize her as special, I'd probably not like him as much as I do. Since he does, I forgive him his little personality quirks. When he caves in to Pia's logic--reluctantly and manfully as he does--he gets this adorable look of resignation. And I find his complete lack of remorse for his bloodthirsty ways amusing (he has a point, he's not going to be top dog by sending cards and flowers to everyone).
I am, without a doubt, looking forward to the next book of the Elder Races. Some interesting developments crop up at the ending and judging from Dragos' reaction, things are going to get mighty interesting in the future! show less

Pia Does Hollywood was a delight short novella from this author and this is where we see a continuation of Dragos Goes to Washington. Pia is pregnant, and she is called to attend the light fae court. We see some fun moments with Liam and where Dragos and Pia tell him the truth and I LOVE that we got that scene as I was disappointed in that we didn't see that in Dragos Goes to Washington. I love Liam and his relationship with Dragos and Pia. They are the most adorable family. We see some show more danger that enters the story and where Dragos and Pia face a great challenge, a type of challenge that they haven't yet faced. My heart broke in this one, and I couldn't go to bed until I had read this book here. I was so addicted to this one here. The author really knew what she was doing with this one. The conflict that we see that these two face, seeing how it really pushes the boundaries of their relationship and seeing how they overcome this conflict was brilliantly written. I am just loving this Dragos and Pia extended epilogue. Its so fascinating and they are by far one of my favorite couples. show less
I bought this. I bought it ‘cos I’m a fan J
I fricking love this series and this one was a brilliant addition to the series. A novella, this tells the story of the lovely Olivia and the very gruff Sebastian. It was all kinds of awesome and reminded me a little of book one in some ways. I adored it!
Olivia is the friend of Grace the Oracle, so I got to see Khalil again.... this makes me happy J In her own right, I knew that Olivia would be a strong heroine (Thea Harrison always writes show more awesome female leads) but I couldn’t get past one issue; she was human. I am used to the elder races having massively extended lifespans and I didn’t know how this issue would be addressed (let’s be honest, it always is an issue with human/vamp stories). Anyway, I digress. What did I think of Olivia? I really liked her. She didn’t shy away from her attraction to the grumpy Sebastian but allowed it grow. The way she handled his curse made me respect her even more; her we’ll fix it or cope attitude was refreshing and just solidified her strength in my eyes.
Sebastian is a grumpy, alpha man who has a secret. He had the air of age and arrogance that I loved so much about Dragos and he never seemed anything but serious. He realises very quickly that he is attracted to her and I adored the way that he just decided that, if she would have him, he wanted her. He seemed so aloof with everyone else but, with her, he opened up about things (like his lack of sight) and I wanted them together. Another magnificent pairing from Thea Harrison.
There was a fair amount of sexy times in this book much to my joy! Although the series itself isn’t sex-shy, this book seemed to take it up a step or two in this camp. Each scorching scene made me realise how well suited these characters and I really wanted them to succeed.
Overall, this was a fabulous novella and it gave me a much needed Elder World fix. I’d like to see more of these two characters in the future books and loved the steaminess in this one J show less
