About the Author
Jim Butcher was born in Independence, Missouri on October 26, 1971. He is the author of The Dresden Files series, the Codex Alera series, Side Jobs, Ghost Story, and the Cinder Spires series. He has also written a Spider-Man novel entitled The Darkest Hours and a novelette entitled Backup. Jim Butcher is reader, Christ Church Business School, Canterbury Christ Church University. He has written a number of books and articles looking at tourism: its critics, the claims made for it and why mass tourism should be celebrated in spite of the naysayers.
He has also written on a diverse subjects including citizenship, free speech, decoloniality and education. His latest book is Volunteer Tourism: The Lifestyle Politics of International Development (Routledge, 2015).
