After the success of Shaft, where Hayes' theme song is the best part of a good movie, someone got the bright idea of making Hayes himself the star of an action picture, and--hey--it worked out quite well. He's not a great actor, but he's a formidable screen presence as he tracks down anyone who has the nerve to f--k with him. And where else can you see Lt. Uhura as a foul-mouthed madam? The script is quite good, pretty much non-stop action from start to finish, and it has some great clever show more set pieces. As the ultimate baddie, Yaphet Kotto is great as always. Very highly recommended. show less
