What a book! Bright and colourful, full of sea animals, lots going on in the pictures and with a hollow centre and things that protrude into it so there's lots for a child to find. It tells the tale of Shelley the Turtle who is trying to find the beach to lay her eggs in and it was the first proper board book my daughter liked. From about 4 months she loved this - I think it was the bright colours, the glitter and the hole in the middle (and possibly the fact that I made up a theme tune that show more went with it ...) but she used to make me repeatedly go through each page (admittedly, she did try and eat it a lot in the beginning but I just like to think that she knows how to truly devour a good book ...) show less
The well-loved traditional nursery rhyme accompanied by charming illustrations of the farmer and his menagerie of farm animals. The floor puzzle is a farmyard scene showing Farmer Macdonald and his animals.

From the Back Cover:
“Old MacDonald had a farm, ee-i-ee-i-o . . .”
Meet the farmer and all his favorite farm animals in the enclosed beautifully illustrated board book. Sing your way through the fields and farmyards to one of the most popular and well-loved of all traditional nursery rhymes.
