This book was a great companion on a cross-country trip and will definitally get used more than once! My only complaint is that I found it hard to find things based on where I was going and wish that it could have been organized by state. That said, the best quality is that there are color pictures for almost all the sites it mentions. Not only did it help to find those out-of-the-way places on our trek, it has given us ideas of oddities near home that we can plan as one day trips- things we show more never would have heard about any other way! show less

Fun coffee table book that looks at old road side attractions. Features a few different sections; strange architecture, large than life statues, roadside "landmarks" and some strange and uncategorizable. Fun just to flip through and look at the pictures if nothing else.

This was a REALLY fun book to look through - all the "landmarks"
