The claims for the military importance of this campaign have been greatly overstated by writers like [a:Liddell Hart|176217|B.H. Liddell Hart|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1261136195p2/176217.jpg], but the war against the Ottoman Empire in the Middle East can lay claim to being perhaps the most politically consequential campaign of the First World War for the contemporary world. This is an excellent short introduction to those events, and is probably an indispensable companion to [b:Seven show more Pillars of Wisdom|57936|Seven Pillars of Wisdom A Triumph (The Authorized Doubleday/Doran Edition)|T.E. A good, brief read. David Murphy provided a solid and informative look into the Arab Revolt in World War I. Certainly worth a look for those interested in getting a good introduction on this important event.
Very good short history of the Irish contribution to the Wars fought in Europe (inc Mid East and N. Africa) during the 20th Cent. Lost of good photos in comparison to its length (64 pages) and eight pages of colour plates, essential for all interested in Irish military history.
