What can one say about this monster of a collected book set? It has ALL of Don Martin's Mad pieces in it. Printed on beautiful heavy stock paper. It's another doorstop book like 'Calvin and Hobbes' and every bit as fun to read. Blivit, sklorch, sklorch!
I love MAD magazine and Don Martin was one of my favorite artists. He is from the golden age of MAD, the 1960's. This was a fun character, Captain Klutz. He is going to save us but he is laugh out loud funny. Great times!
What caused this review you might ask? Well, while waiting to go to Ikea, to check out some bookcases, and just for Grammie and me to spend some quality time with our son and granddaughter, I took some sample books for spacing measurements. This was the paperback chosen and we delayed for an hour, ergo this review.
Standard Mad. Is this good or bad? Who cares. What, me worry!
Mad got me through my youth (1950's).
Contributed to my adulthood (1970's).
And now it comforts me in my old age (2000's).
