This is a pretty alphabet book with photographs of a variety of animals (whose names begin with the letter of the page on which they are featured). Most of the animals are Australian, and I wish that the authors had chosen to use entirely Australian animals. It's sort of strange to see elephants and orangutans . . . surely, they could have found Australian animals for every page, as there are loads from which to choose. Still, this is a fun book - my son enjoys finding the various show more animals which are mentioned in the text. show less

A beautiful spread of photographs of Western Australia by acclaimed photographer Steve Parish. The landscape of Western Australia is incredibly diverse and the photos presented here show it off at its best.
This has to be one of the quickest books I've ever read. I'll probably never get to Brisbane in person so I did enjoy looking at it in pictures. I most liked the name "Smellie & Co." in one of the pictures. That made me laugh. I also was impressed by the rocks of Kangaroo Point.
This is a cute book, with photos of emus as the illustrations. Phyllis and Edna are two friends whose friendship has a bit of a hiccup when a new emu moves into the neighborhood.
