Reviews
Part of a series of books reprinting witty, interesting and/or historically relevant letters to the Times of London, often written by well-known personalities. The context for the letters is often brief, and makes assumptions you know a great deal about 19th and 20th century English history, but the letters themselves are quite interesting. This particular volume is a bit top-heavy with letters about the great coal strike of the early 80s, a bit out of proportion in my view.
Amusing and entertaining selection of letters to the Times of London, covering various subjects. The only real flaw is the very hit-or-miss nature of the organization; there doesn't really seem to be any. But much mirth to be had.
