'Give It to Me' is an anthology with 12 erotic M/M stories that plumb the darkest fantasies. Each story is short yet well-fleshed. They’re not just dark erotica. Sean Wolfe makes us feel for these guys, some of whom appear to be beyond redemption. I enjoyed 11 of the 12 stories. 'Abducted' is the only one I had a hard time falling into. The two guys in that story came off as morons in an unbelievably idiotic scenario. Wolfe had me believing in every story except that one.
This was a first show more read of Sean Wolfe’s work for me. I enjoyed it so much I now need to run off and find more. Ok, I don’t need to run because the internet is a wonderful tool. I just hope there are Kindle versions of his books.

4 short stories - Ford's story I really liked enough to find other works by him; Herren's story was, as usual, pretty OK; Ridge's story did not appeal, though it was well written; and I still in the middle of Wolfe's story.
2 1/2 stars Greg Herren - The Nightwatchers
Phillip Rutledge and his best friend Rachel discover there's more to the night than either of them thought possible when a vampire begins stalking Phillip, believing him to be the reincarnation of a long dead lover ...
--While I show more like Herren's stuff, I wonder what he finds so fascinating about guys who spend half their lives in the gym is? Any rate, this a nice little story, with good atmosphere and interesting characters, namely Rachel and the Nightwatcher who tries to save Phillip from his stalker. As usual, Herren is good at describing New Orleans in an interesting and lovely way.
4 1/2 stars Michael Thomas Ford - Carnival
Joe Flanagan is satisfied with his life in the carnival where he maintains the rides and other machines with which he seems to have an almost supernatural affinity. When an new attraction joins the carnival, a type of freak show which is more than a little sinister, Joe finds not only a new friend, but his suspicions rising about just what type of man Mr. Star, the owner, is.
--This is the first story I have ever read by Mr. Ford, but, by golly, not the last. I liked his story so much I went looking for more stuff and am currently reading [bc:Jane Bites Back|6570140|Jane Bites Back (Jane Fairfax #1)|Michael Thomas Ford|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1310580959s/6570140.jpg|6763198]
2 1/2 Stars Timothy Ridge - The Vampire Stone
A stone enchanted by a master vampire becomes the obsession for Roland Weir. The more he becomes attached to the stone, the more he falls under the power of the vampire until he finally does the ultimate act which makes him realize just how far he's fallen.
--While solidly written, I admit that the subject matter did not appeal and the ending let me with a bad taste in my mouth.
2 1/2 stars Sean Wolfe - Vampire, Inc.
Chritiano Montez is one of the most respected and feared vampires in the world. When he arrived in Denver on his way to Chicago, he finds that he not only likes Denver more than he expected but also finds a new love and a new direction in his life.
--Mr. Wolfe is not one of the best writers I've ever come across. Not bad, but not great either.
And the winner is ... Thomas Michael Ford. It's not often an anthology like this pops a new author in my path, but it happened and I'm glad. show less

It’s strange because I think this was supposed to be plain erotica, but I actually found it rather romantic and sometime even sweet. Of course my favourite stories are those of the episcopal priest who finds love in the surf boy (The Collar) and the other one about the middle thirty guy who, still mourning the sudden death of his partner of 7 years, is able to find love again in his high school first crush (They Call Me Mr. Tripp)
As expected most of the stories are highly sexy (and sexual) show more in content, sometime even kinky (like the story of the high school twins/twinks who love each other and like to make fun of their more dumb fellow students (Pool Party) or that of the “southern bell” boy who is able to jostle both an Union than a Confederate lover (The Plantation), but in between the sex, indeed the author manages to always make his guys fall in love, Hard and Fast indeed.
The leading story is that of good boy Axom (The Good Boy), who is a classic example of good kid in the house, and kinky boy out of it: in his experience as high school and college boy, Axom manages to seduce, or being seduced, by his youth counsellor priest, the college private guard, a multi-millionaire and one of his teacher, most of these relationship with bad consequences for the partners, but leaving Axom mostly unscathed.
In any case all the stories are like little novel, each of them carefully crafted in details and development. Really good anthology and I wouldn’t mind to read a long novel by this author, maybe the development of The Collar?

This book really delivers on the promise of "...the stories in Aroused reflect the sexual seasons of a gay man's life". I liked reading all of them, from the ones in early spring to the ones in late winter. There is also a longer novella in the middle which folllows one couple through all four life-seasons. I think I liked that one the best of all the stories.
The idea of presenting the role that age plays in the way gay men look at their lives - and their existing or potential partners - show more really worked for me. show less
