I’m surprised I didn’t read this book much earlier in my life. Had I known it was so heavily based on the science of physics as it was known prior to 1963 I would have. I’m somewhat surprised also that my mother didn’t encourage me to read it when it was published; on the other hand, I was in high school at the time and she had very little influence on what I read then. The book is well written and the plot held my attention. I thought the spiritual aspects were overdone and even show more unnecessary. This narration was quite good and I appreciated the 3 extras — an introduction from film director Ava DuVernay, a foreword read by ML’E, and an afterword by ML’E’s granddaughter. show less
