This book, written in 1992, is an exploration by the author of his learnings about Aboriginal culture. The author worked as a Crown attorney on native reserves in northern Ontario. It is a very honest attempt to explain cultural differences with a focus on how those differences are exhibited in the justice system, and in interpersonal relationships more generally.
The author is wrting about what he has learned from spending time with aboriginal people, so the book is not an academic text and show more some may find it, therefore, not detailed or deep enough in its explanations. But, taken as a personal journey, it is insightful and informative. show less
