The book offers a good description of how the bets market is formed, from the very basic definitions to the processes that generate a price. It doesn't pretend to offer any special knowledge (i.e. magic formulas), it explains the risks and it doesn't make any promises.

excellent introduction to limit hold'em. following advice in this book should allow you to beat online games up to at least the $3/$6 level and beat live games up to at least the $10/$20 level.
