A justly famous book. Mostly for its discussion of suited connectors which he brought to the forefront. This is in no limit hold'em of course.
A good part of the book discusses other forms of poker. The stud variations, omaha, draw etc. Sadly NLH so dominates poker that the others are seldom played outside of small family games.
Easily one of the worst-titled books on poker available: this is a collection of disparate essays, not any unified system. It's a mixed-bag quality wise, as some of the essays are 5 star-worthy, others just 1. All that said, the chapter on limit hold-em was worth the price of the book alone.
The poker advice is (or was, depending on who you believe) sound, but the writing drives a sane being bananas. Copy editor did not exist, or ought to be shot in the head.

Previously "According to Doyle". Poker philosophy, I suppose. Entertaining anecdotes intended to enforce useful poker truths.
