Overall decent read. It was informative and detailed in talking about the early history of the East India Company, with a fair amount of information about the Dutch East India Company, or VOC. There's a few points where I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style, but it wasn't terrible. Definitely worth checking out if you want to learn more about the EIC.
