Jeannie McMunn and 2 friends have bought a ranch in NM to establish a home for troubled orphans. Jeannie is on site organizing renovations and working with the first 2 children when her cattle go missing, fences are cut and mysterious fires keep popping up. Chance Salazar, Federal Marshall, is undercover as a has been rodeo rider, trying to get the goods on El Patron who is behind all the illegal happenings and disappearances in the area. He signs on at Jeannie's ranch as a cowboy to protect show more her and the children. They are attracted but his assignment and her past keep them separate. Good moments dealing with the children's issues and the camaraderie between the Marshalls. A little hard to believe that with a large family in the area that people hadn't figured out Chance was a Marshall. Still it was enjoyable. show less
This is the story of Major Perry Deveroux who disappears while watching the atomic test at White Sands in 1945 and appears in 1993 in the same spot in the desert during a quantum physics experiment. While there he falls in love with the lady running the experiment, Dr. Valerie Daniels. The anomaly that brought him there is shrinking and he is going to have to go away again.

This was well written and poignant. The feelings of the hero and heroine were well done and believable. The hero as a show more man from 1945 was very believably written. Even though they have so little time together their feelings were not really rushed.

A nicely done time travel story with a HEA of course since it's a category romance.

I'd bought this Silhouette Dreamscapes a year or more ago at the flea market just to round out the 5/$1 on categories. Thought it sounded okay. This was one of those times when I got a lot more than I expected. Really densely emotional, a telekinetic/psychic hero who's emotionally damaged, and a psychic heroine with her telekinetic/psychic son. I docked it a half star because I wanted to know more about what the bad guys wanted from them, but that's a tiny niggle. I'll be looking for more show more from this author--I hope there is more. show less
