I don't want to give away too many details, but I will say this novel is filled with shocking events worthy of a lively book discussion.

The main characters are Nate and Monica Kenny. When Nate discovers his wife has a fertility problem he sets a plan in place to divorce her without having to split his MILLIONS with her. We are talking EXTREME measures that could backfire on Nate and everyone else involved. Pulled into this drama is Lewis, a down on his luck brother who can choose to accept show more the terms of a proposition or face jail time. Be prepared to take sides in this page turner. show less
The novel, Stacie and Cole, encompasses a young couple that faces the hardships of peirpresure related to having sex. In the begging Stacie and Cole, the protagonists struggle with rumors that spread about their sexual activity which leads Cole to give into the pressure. Throughout the middle Stacie learns what she wants from her relationship with Cole and it doesn't have so much to do with having sex but with having someone who she can depend on. By they both agree to hold out and enjoy show more eachother while they can. (199 pgs/ 199 pgs read) show less
Thank goodness I only paid $2.99 for this book! I'm sure the author was trying to convey an important message, particularly as it relates to black men failing to provide for their children, but at nearly 400 pages he took far too much time just to miss the mark.
And to think that I thought the first one took my breath away...This second one was..whoa.I'm not sure how else to put it lol.Poverty can make you do crazy things just to get ahead...even if you have to sell your soul to the devil.I can't wait for the third one. I'm not even sure how Johnson can follow that one, but we'll see.
