I've always liked Anna Faris, she's appeared down to earth and has a knack for comedy. It's nice to see these things are very true through her book. She has a great voice for audio too, it made me interested in checking out her podcast.
I enjoyed the stories Anna shares about her life and her romantic relationships. I love finding out celebrities have just as many pitfalls in love as the Average Joe does. I think there is some great advice in here. Most of it boils down to respecting yourself show more and not allowing someone else to take over your life, especially when they don't deserve that kind of reverence. I also enjoyed the stuff about her son, Jack, and what parenting him has been like for her and her (now ex) husband.
I wish we could get a follow up to this book- it's been nearly 10 years and so much has changed in her life. Another divorce and another marriage! What has she learned with these experiences, how has her outlook differed since writing this? If she's still doing her podcast, I suppose she probably has opened up about some of it there, so if I really want to know, I should just bite the bullet lol.
I like how she incorporated her fanbase into this book. There are whole sections of advice that have come from her podcast call ins and her Facebook commenters. It's really cool that she admits to not being an expert in relationships, and reaches out to other people like her who are willing to share what they've learned too.
I hope Anna is doing great, and I hope her son Jack has grown into a great person. And here's your PSA that her name is pronounced Aw-nna, not Ah-nna. show less

I love Anna Faris and was really looking forward to this book, however I did not realize it was a love and relationship advice book. I enjoyed and appreciated some of her stories but I don't really relate to or agree with all of the main-stream Hollywood ideals that she lives through. I think my opinions are somewhat bias against some of her ideals and I don't really need relationship advice, so, I gave it two stars, it was okay and fun. If this book interests you don't be afraid to give it show more a read, her stories are fun and can be relatable, this is subjective of course; she even admits humbly that she is not a professional but just wants to help. show less
Interesting and entertaining. An easy read, if not a gripping one. Covers most of her life, in brief. You feel like you get a decent feel for her, as a person. Worth reading if you're a fan; probably not, if you're not.
Faris writes candidly about much of her life. And while I appreciate her honesty about the times when she didn't have her sh!t together and her insecurities, I found myself just not liking her very much. It took me a long time to get through it because I just wasn't as interested as I thought I would be. Also, not for nothing but it is incomplete. There is one mention of her family "evolving" which I assume references her separation from Chris Pratt. For as much as she talks about how show more wonderful he is, it seems disingenuous to not explain the split in the context of the rest of her life. I might be a little TMZ of me to want all the details but she did also choose to write a book about her life. show less
