About the Author
A prolific writer and well-known scholar, Robert G. Wesson was a curator and coordinator of Russian and East European Studies at the Hoover Institution. He received an MA from Fletcher and a PhD from Columbia. Serving first in the American Foreign Service (1941-44), Wesson subsequently became an show more officer in the US Navy. His areas of academic interest include Soviet and other communist systems as well as foreign policy. He has contributed articles to Current History, Soviet Studies, and Survey and wrote The Russian Dilemma: A Geopolitical View (1974), Why Marxism? (1976), and Foreign Policy for a New Age (1977). show less
