This book gives you a great sense of adventure. It takes you to a culture that not many are familiar with, the Netherlands. It brings you to landmarks and you follow the story of Donald Duck a very friendly character that most children are familiar with. Disney did it again, I enjoyed this book.
Second or Third grade reading level but could be simplified for younger students. This book mentions some of the famous monuments in Washington D.C. This book would be a great book to read to students while studying national monuments. The book really doesn't go into detail about all the historic things about each monument. Cute Disney illustrations.
This book talks about an adventure in the Netherlands for Daisy and Donald Duck. The story starts off with Daisy winning a free trip to the cheese capital of the world. Throughout the story, Donald tried to compete with the tour guide, Hans, for Daisy's' attention. Hans shows them his country and the many different sights throughout his city, and show his culture, foods, museum, monuments (windmills, and canals) and the large wheel of Gouda cheese. But at the end someone is celebrated as the show more hero for saving another. show less
This series of books are great for children who are interested in the didn't cultures of the world. My sister and I read these books as children to my grandparents.
