The McGraw-Hill Handbook (paperback) - 2009 MLA & APA Update, Student Edition by Elaine Maimon

This was a required textbook for a college course (Composition 101) I was taking as part of my bachelor's degree program.

At over 875 pages, it is quite an extensive and comprehensive read. I found it duplicated other textbooks I had with regard to grammar, MLA or APA citations, parts of speech, research, and other like subjects. I wouldn't have bought it had it not been required.

Anyone looking for a "short" reference book would likely not see this as such. Although it does provide some show more great "fold-out" references and even some maps.

This is not a book I use regularly for research since I do have others.

It isn't a "bad" book, but not one I would've chosen on my own. show less
