This book is good for metaphor and simile and the writing is truly outstanding throughout. If that isn't enough, the story is good too. And the illustrations are beautiful. This is a great book.
Aaron is an animal lover, animals of all kinds, and he loves to keep them close. Sadly, Aaron develops allergies and has to give away all of his animals (my very least favorite part of the book). After being sad for awhile, Aaron finds creatures that he can have that won't irritate his allergies.
This has been one of our favorite Christmas books for years. Instead of focusing on Santa, this book focuses on God and his miracles. Beautiful story.
