The decline of the megafauna during the later pleistocene is so startling within the fossil record that Pau Martin in the 1950's proposed that Clovis Man was responsible. Prior to that climate change from the ice age was thought the primary factor. But, Martin and others not only found bone pits combined with evidence of fire and human habitation that the realization that humans caused decline of mega fauna seemed likely. In this volume, Paul Martin is the editor as a whole generation of show more young scientists follow his lead with their research. This is a must read and must have text for the classic science library. show less
