the poem is about five squirrels that were up in a tree and a man wanted to shoot the little squirrels but the squirrels werent scared the first squirrel asked who was down there making all that noise the second one said a man with a gun the third one said we should run but the fourht one said im not scared of a gun then the man shot off his gun and they began to run.

If i were those little squirrels i would have ran away because the man with the gun most like;y couldnt catch me since i am a show more small little squirrel and he is a big man. I could run to another tree and hide before he caught me.

As a class we could discuss what we wou;d have done if we were squirrels would we run away would we stay and be scared or would we do something to the man with the gun. We could even change the story by making the squirrels scare the man and make him runaway. show less
