I hate to say this, but honestly, this did not deserve even one star. I hate having to be negative about someone's effort at creativity, but I can't honestly give this book more than one star and a bad review. I'm extremely disappointed that the rating system has been so abused, or skewed, that this book has an average rating near four stars. How is that possible?
There was no writing or plot faux-pas that didn't get a blaring hit in this piece. Grammar issues, plot holes, contradictory show more statements, under-developed characters, under-developed scenes, cringe worthy statements and actions that didn't fit the scene/character/setting, all of the above and then some. Nothing about the characters felt finished, their personalities, appearances, and worst of all their nature and reason for existing in the story to begin with, it was jarring and unpleasant to read from start to (unable-to-)finish. That for me is the single biggest statement. I have NEVER not finished a book, no matter how bad. I have slogged through some bad pieces of fiction in the past, but I literally could not continue with this one. I ended up staring blankly at the screen for a few minutes trying to figure out how much I'd hate myself for leaving it unfinished and when I realized I already hated myself more for forcing my way to chapter 13, 12 far too many by the way, I knew I had to stop and I had to post an honest review.
Normally, if I don't like a book I rate the stars accordingly and don't leave a review. The whole 'not saying anything if you don't have anything nice to say' bit, but I can't in good conscience leave this book with a nearly four star, sorely misleading, ranking and let someone else fall into the same trap.
The summary seemed great, too bad that isn't actually what the book is about. Don't try to make sense out of it, I did and wasted a few hours of my life I desperately wish I could get back.
Truly, save yourself the headache and pass.

Ms. Barton is unstoppable. This is book 7 of her Aaron’s Kiss series. I have never followed a series so closely as I do this one as it is my favorite and keeps me laughing. Aaron and Sara just keep me in stitches with the antics that occur in their home with their family.
This is Bradley’s story. Airic is finally going to get to go on a long overdue vacation with her brother, father and assistant, Diana. What she didn’t expect was how her life was going to change. She watched as her show more brother and father are ripped to shreds and Diana is taken away. She awakes in a cave after being bitten for what she hoped was the last time, by being marked by an evil werewolf. She now is up running the woods on full moons. Airic has become a home body and only wants to throw herself into her sculpting and painting. What masterpieces they are. She has a show coming up at one of the galleries, and it happens to be one that Bradley owns. He is in awe over her work and can’t wait to meet the artist with such talent. He’s drawn to her scent and has found his soul mate. Can Airic keep the pack safe from her tormentor? Can Bradley save Airic from the menacing this other Alpha Wolf is causing his pack? I’m so glad to see Bradley be in the light for this one. It’s about time he had his time to shine. show less
Wow, Kathi did not fail us on this novel as she continued Aaron’s and Sara’s story. They helped Colin have a life. Colin has had a run in with Shade, literally but the scent she left is lasting on Colin. Has he found his soulmate for life? Shade’s life hasn’t been the easiest at all. She has seen 2 children suffer in a way that no child should. Her only wish is to make sure she cares for them since their own mother had not. She doesn’t understand the powers she has and thanks to show more our friends from the first of the series, she is going to learn that her powers are neverending. Especially when her and Colin finally get the one on one time to really find out what is meant for them. This story will have your senses everywhere. She has done a great job leaving the door wide open for more of “The Aaron’s Kiss Series. Can’t wait! show less
My review:

I love the strong women who does not take any nonsense from the men. Sometimes it seems as if the men are portrayed a little bit less intelligent than they should be...

Synopsis:

As soon as Jack Crosby found the tracking device implanted in her head and had it removed, she knew she was in trouble. She had managed to avoid her employers for the past couple of weeks but knew that this next job was a setup and would more than likely get her killed.
When Dylan Bowen walked out his front show more door, he was startled to find a beautiful woman on his porch aiming a gun at his chest. She sat on his swing with a puddle of blood pooling beneath her. She had several gunshot wounds and no memory of who she was. Dylan knew by her scent who she was to him or would be if she didn’t die first.
When Jack’s memory returns she knows they’re all dead if she’s found and leaving is the only answer, but not if Dylan has anything to say about it. Dylan will say or do anything to stop her from going…anything…including tricking her into bonding as his mate.
Kirby Mann, Jack’s employer, wants her dead. All he has to do is find her. She’s a liability to them all.
Lucius wants Jerry Small released from prison and put in the White House. A man like Small in the White House was just the type of man to start wars. War was the perfect environment for a vampire like Lucius where people could disappear, and no one would be the wiser. In his mind, Jack was the person to make that happen.
The Bowens must band together if they are all to survive because danger lurks in dark corners and Jack and Dylan’s destiny is yet uncharted. But when one of their own is captured by Lucius will they be strong enough to defeat him? Find out in the third installment of The Bowen Boys.
