I enjoyed the book emencly. All the good things you need in a story; pirate treasure, ghost, a lady and death by shark. The only issue is the racist descriptions of the crew's and locals but I can forgive most of these attitudes to the time written an it being in British Colonial Islands. The book kept my interest.
The opening story, The Old Coat of Dreams, contains some nasty anti-semitism...
a parphrase from several literal translations,a new edition with fifty added quarains.Le Gallienne had no knowledge of Persian..
