I read this as an ebook from the Ocean State Library system. To be succinct, this was one of the worst books I've ever read. It's clear the author had a great interest in the subject, it's just there doesn't seem to be enough material for an actual book. The book suffers from long quotes from newspaper clippings which will hold little appeal for those not interested already in long-distance running, and the book's chapters are mostly structured to describe the results of the yearly running show more seasons. There is little information about Tarzan Brown outside of the races he runs, and not enough other about the man himself to make for a rewarding reading. Might be appreciated by people who are deeply interested in long-distance, but not otherwise. show less
