Leona Rasmussen Phillips

This book was not what I thought it was going to be when I first bought it. Being an online purchase, I didn't have a chance to look inside the book before buying. As it turns out, instead of being a treatise on all the topics mentioned, it is an annotated bibliography of books on those topics.

However, once I decided to browse through the listings, I found it to be a wealth of information for further study. As someone who would like to read up on occult and paranormal happenings, it is show more sometimes difficult to find the right material. Phillips has put together a collection of books that will send me in the right direction.

The book itself is rife with spelling and grammar errors, making one wonder if there was an editor involved in the process or not, and on occasion the author's personal opinions on certain people mentioned did get a bit tedious, but otherwise and excellent reference book to find other books on the subjects covered in the title.

Also included in the text is an essay on the occult in cinema. show less
