The sex was hot. The story was interesting. It was well written. Someone else said it feels like this book is missing an ending and I agree there was no big reveal at the end about Fiona's mother or a confrontation with her father or meeting the Fraser's. I feel like if some of that had been addressed it would have been complete. Even so I did enjoy this and it is the first highland erotica I have read and I do enjoy highland themes and erotica so I will be reading more of the series.
Maybe 1-1/2 stars. This was menage. The sex scenes were so so. Nothing that really stands out. The writing was servicable at the best. There was an attempt made to really place it in its time in history although some of the scenes the author chose to include struck me as odd choices. After the wedding night did I really need a scene in a local eatery where everyone talked about the 'noises' they'd heard the night before? See even here it sounds more reasonable than it actually was. The whole show more point was that Trace had married her hoping that she would agree to be with both of his brothers too. So get on with it. Get back to the ranch and let's see if everyone likes each other. There was some attempt made here too to show that this was not a normal choice/arrangement for the times and there would be social consequences for choosing this lifestyle. So the idea was interesting. The execution failed it. show less
