Anne Hamilton owns an antiques shop; someone has shoplifted a silver pitcher recently acquired from a local. A socialite makes a big issue of the fact that a thief is on the loose and steps must be taken to capture or prevent this happening, as a big upcoming antiques sale mustn't be disrupted. Her handsome son, Ken, follows mother around while she plots her plans. Zoffany, A "foreigner" who also deals in antiques, is suspected of perhaps involved with illegal activities, has an unpleasant show more "tough guy" working for him; all this "investigation" in town may be making him nervous.
