NCLA Review: This devotional begins each day with the statement: “Today is Your Best Day,” and continues the thought by telling you why today is that day. Although my life is pretty blessed and relatively joyful, it’s in the valleys that I learn the most. This book didn’t seem to think we had valleys, only joyful, faithful journeys where God is affirmed in each moment. I didn’t feel as though the author spoke to me in my busy, tedious or even depressed times. It seemed to me as show more though he doesn’t give readers enough food for thought and instead leaves the crumbs to follow when days are rich and full. Rating: 2 —CP show less
A Straight, Direct, and Honest approach to parenting and living with little people. Goes through great lengths to lay a foundation of the importance of love, respect, and the roles of all the individuals in family unit. After which, helps guide parents into the how-to methods of actually having obedient children.
I strongly recommend this devotional when things are tough, like fighting an illness or facing death. It helps to refocus thoughts from the here and now to things more eternal.
This book is a thorough exploration of everything the Ultimate Parent, God, has to teach about: The Necessity of Spanking; The Proper Time for Spanking; and The Right Method of Spanking.
