So What's the Difference?: A Biblical Comparison of Orthodox Christianity with Major Religions and Major Cults by Fritz Ridenour
I initially dug this out of my box of books because a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses came to the door. After I read that chapter, I went back and started from beginning. It's informative without being too scholastic. It doesn't tell you how to witness to the other religions or cults, but you do get a sense of what you're up against if you do meet someone of those faiths.
This is something like an update of kingdom of the cults. The author describes Christianity from an evangelical, biblical Christian point of view. The section on Roman Catholicism does not “any Catholic sources and is weak as a result. He does point out some new movements so it updates for more recent movements such as the International Churches of Christ.
This book is a great help for a new Christian who feels overwhelmed when reading the Book of Romans for the first time.
The author skillfully walks the Roman Road at a gentle pace. He shows us that Christianity is what Jesus did for us, not what we do for Jesus.

So What’s the Difference? By Fritz Ridenour is a fascinating book that compares Christianity to twenty faiths and religions. It first discusses Christian beliefs in general and then the belief in detail and then points out how it compares to Christianity. Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy are discussed separately. Some of the major religions include Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism , Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism and New Age Movement and others. It helps you “recognize the show more real difference between the Christian faith and other viewpoint and make it easier for you to explain and share your faith with others.” show less
