One of my favorite books as a kid! I sang all the songs. I plugged out the tunes on my little organ so I got them all wrong. I'm no musician, but I gave it a shot. I miss this songbook. I heard Frankie and Johnny on the TV so it brought back memories. That story was fascinating to a kid. I need to buy a used copy online. And find the matching album.
My favorite source for "campfire" singing. Many of the traditional folksong standards (and popular music now "taken" as folksongs) in simple arrangements.
I like the selection from (at least) four different cultures. A good hour's worth of fun for the whole family.
One of my favorite collections of folk songs. Has vocal music, guitar chords and all the verses.
