Black Moon Witch by Serenity Woods
A Murder of Crows #1
Brilliant, bold and thought-provoking paranormal romance that grabbed me in the first few lines and did not let me go until I finished it at 2am the next morning! This is paranormal romantic suspense with twists and turns I had not suspected. It made me think and care and applaud the author for providing a story that was so much more than many books I have read in this genre.
What I liked:
* Witches and Shamans* with a contemporary feel
* show more The wolf in this story was NOT the good guy
* Good & Evil are pitted against one another
* Well-plotted and beautifully written
* Wonderful characters
* Gripping and real
* The witchy stuff was well crafted and presented
* Appealed to all of my senses
* Sizzling relationship between male and female lead
* I liked all of it except…
What I did not like:
* Pretty much only those that I was meant NOT to like…
NOTE: had to look up shamans since it felt wrong and learned something new so thought I would share what I learned with you: The plural form is shamans, not shamen; the etymologically-consistent plural form from the original Evenki is shamasal, but this form sees no use in English; the plural form shamans is, however, universally accepted.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes!
Would I read more in this series? As soon as I can!
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Talking Dirty with the Billionaire Boss: A lavish billionaire romance to send your pulse racing (A Boss in a Billion) by Serenity Woods
Talking Dirty with the Billionaire Boss by Serenity Woods
A Boss in a Million #1
Fanning myself and smiling as I think about this story – Holy Hotness was my first thought then, wholly hotness or perhaps holey hotness? Perhaps all apply ;) I say that sitting here a bit sleep deprived having stayed up till long after the electricity cut at midning, reading in the dark till after one when I finished the book, and then finding myself unable to sleep due till after two-thirty just thinking about show more Sidnie and Mack and the fact that there will be another book in the series coming soon. This book made for a splendid way to end my day and begin my morning!
What I liked:
* Sidnie: intelligent, hard worker, lovers her family, good friend, enjoys words, aspires to be an author, wise, open, caring, and HOT
* Mack: genius, wealthy, CEO of tech company, good friend, great people skills, philanthropist, has hidden depths, and a HOT perfect partner for Sidnie
* The way Mack and Sidnie were able to communicate with one another openly and honestly about…everything
* The supporting characters, how they were introduced, and how they fit into this story – family, friends, business partners, and others
* The plot, pacing, location, and writing
* That I was drawn in, felt a part of the story, cared about the main characters and also those on the sidelines
* I can’t think of anything I didn’t like except…
What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like – and it was easy to really dislike them and wish them a comeuppance – won’t tell you who but you will definitely pick them out as you read the book!
Did I like this book? My, oh my, YES
Would I read more in this series? Can’t wait to read it!

If Kisses Were Snowflakes by Serenity Woods
Christmas Wishes #4
Stellar story – as expected – this author always delivers thought provoking well-crafted plots with unforgettable characters. There is usually something educational along with sizzling romance and this book threw in Christmas wishes being fulfilled. Here I should probably mention that I could not put this book down and read through till 2:30am – I had to finish it…just in case you were wondering.
Angel Matthews has kept a show more journal for decades and addresses it to a man who is known to be a jolly granter of wishes. Since childhood she has dealt with an issue that was exacerbated on Christmas Eve one year ago. After hitting rock bottom she spent time looking and working on the issue and how she wants to achieve in the future. With this in mind she has decided to spend Christmas alone to ponder process and plan for the positive future she deserves. So, off she heads to Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, a tidal island off the northeast coast of England. It is a tiny place with few inhabitants but frequent pilgrims and the road to it is completely covered when the tide is in. (You might enjoy googling – fascinating reading on Wikipedia).
Anyway, off she goes and though wanting to depend on nobody but herself finds herself rescued by Halvar Carlson. Hal is the father of two children, lives in Lindisfarne, has a b*tch of an almost ex-wife and a mean-spirited boss that is increasing the difficulties in his life. Well, Hal and Angel are drawn to one another but with the distance between their abodes see that getting together would most likely be little more than a holiday fling. But, what was supposed to be a bit of fun ends up being a healing interlude that may just provide them with the HEA they both so richly deserve.
What I Liked:
* The story – all of it
*Hal’s love for his children and well…him…what a man!
*Angel’s openness and willingness to state what she wants and reach out for it
*Getting to look over Angel’s shoulder as she writes in her personal journal
*The information about Lindisfarne – now on my bucket list
*The development of the relationship between Hal and Angel and their willingness to communicate openly and honestly with one another
*Hal’s children – Jamie and Brenna
*The honesty with which divorce and its impact on all family members was portrayed
*Well…let me see…what did I not like?
What I didn’t like:
*Rebecca – the ex-wife of Hal
*Charles – Hal’s boss
*…and that is about it…except that on the last page I really wished there were more pages to read…
Did I mention I loved this book? Even if I did…it is worth saying again :)

My Wicked Billionaire by Serenity Woods
Billionaire Kings #6
Loved...LOVED...L O V E D this book!
Cousins, not really related by blood, end up on a road trip to a family wedding. Neither planned to miss the plane but once missed...best option is to travel together to get there on time. Brash, bold, open, special and caring...Clio King is just finishing up her veterinary medicine degree and has had a hot crush on Ryan King for some time. Why not act on it...if he is amenable...but how to make show more him amenable and have him see her as a woman and not as just a young cousin? And Ryan King...well...he is a studly do-right and many a woman’s dreamboat. BUT he has been in a marriage that was not the best fit for him and left him...leery...and having been warned off Cio by her older brother...well...can he? Should he? Could he? Will he take her up on the flirting offer she has put forward?
I loved the easy flow of this story. The romance grew easily and was fun to watch. It was HOT and STEAMY and left me thinking of days gone by when I was 25 and Clio’s age and now wishing I had been as open and verbally capable as she was. I did see a bit of myself in Clio :)
Did I like this book? Oh my...do you even have to ask...YES! I truly did love this book!!!
Would I read more in this series? When is the next book out? DEFINITELY!!!
I love this author’s ability to create wonderful characters in believable stories that leave me feeling I know everyone and wish I could be there in the story with them.
