This is the book that brought us to Melbourne and changed our lives. This is Barbara's first effort, before Pigeon (yet to be released) - the one we knew nothing about. It is a very simple children's book, about a dog that followed Christ. In very simple words it brings together Barbara's love of God and her love of all his creation, including the unconditional love of pets.

When I first saw the cover I was disappointed by the illustrations, because I tend to prefer more traditional drawings, show more but I quickly realised that Lynda Kennedy has captured a wonderful joyous simplicity, perfectly in line with the story. I think the mood has been captured beautifully.

I think I like most of all the "epi-dog" in which Barbara outlines her thoughts about the role of animals in the Bible and the ways in which animals teach us about God and love. And it will always be the book that brought us Moggy and Pippi. show less
