- Richard Marshall was born in Yorkshire, England, educated at Cambridge and now lives in upstate New York. His travel writings include the best-selling "Treasures of Britain" which he edited for the English Automobile Association, and "Explore America" (AAA 1990). As the principal author of "Mysteries of the Unexplained" (Readers' Digest 1986) he followed the byways of strange phenomena, travelling the work from Avebury to Machu Picchu. He has pursued Buddhist studies in India and Nepal. (Strange, Amazing and Mysterious Places, 1993)
