Shapes That Roll is a brightly illustrated book that effectively and playfully explores the properties of shapes. The written text is setin rhyming couplets which will appeal to younger children. The images have a textural effect used with some of the inks, making the pages more touchable.
Two Crazy Pigs is a silly story about two pigs that are kicked off the Fenster's farm for playing around a little too much, but luckliy they find the Henhawk's where all their crazy play is welcomed! Children age 4-8 will get a kick out the story as the pigs continuosly get in trouble for there silly antics. I think it can be used as a great teaching tool to be excepting of our differences. Included on the last page is a speed drill & recognition drill that can help towards the readers show more fluency. show less
This is a great rhyming book that shows kids what you can do with shapes: staking, rolling, slanting and so on. I would like to use this book in class to start a geometry lesson.
It was a pretty fun read, though I couldn't grasp the moral of the story. Still, the illustrations were awesome.
