Jesus is real. He's more real than you or I. He points out the fallacy of the masses - religion, pompous interpretation, our shortcomings, the ways we are an abject failure and we just can't really take back what we've done. Brandon Clements writes a powerful novel about a man who, in his own way, has been a failure and a homeless man who comes into his life. The homeless man makes him see that he may never be able to take back what he's done, but he can still turn himself around, anyway. I show more mean, after all, who was Jesus a little over 2,000 years ago but a homeless man? show less
This is a very well written first novel. At times you might wonder where the author is going with the story but it comes together pretty well. At times the author's rants put into the mouths of his characters get a little long which is why I only gave it four stars. The brokenness of life is well portrayed along with our need for salvation from ourselves.
