Don’t read before driving
I am not a drag racer. I am not a drag racer. I am not a drag racer. I am not a drag racer...
My station wagon is not a race car. My station wagon is not a race car. My station wagon is not a race car. My station wagon is not a race car...
I have to keep reminding myself of the above statements. Reading Turn & Burn gave me an irresistible urge to put my pedal to the metal. The intensity from Gas or Ass carried into Turn & Burn. Steamy sex and scorching hot racing show more made this a good book. Explosive emotions and questionable loyalties elevated Turn & Burn to a great read. show less

Makes the Fast & Furious look like Roary the Racing Car
The heat in this book is panty melting! Fast cars. Hunky guys. Bold women. Taboo relationships. This book has it. It is obvious that Eden Connor is a reader. She writes like a woman on a mission.
I read the warning at the beginning of the book. Don’t expect a happy ending, yada, yada, yada... Then I would reach a moment where I thought to myself: The author was just teasing. Things are looking mighty good. Happiness is just around the show more corner. Then I would read on, turn the corner and slam into a bubble bursting spike of reality.
I don’t normally like books without happy endings. Gas or Ass is an exception. The warning coupled with the highly positive reviews, convinced me to take a chance. I am thrilled that I did! show less

Holy shit. You know this girl constantly is selfless. She doesn't do selfish thing at all through two books and all I can think is that she needs to take something for herself. I am so angry right now. She deserves so much. And it's obvious that caine loves her to death. I mean Colt, yeah he loves her but not as much as caine. And the fact that she's going to give up her happiness yet again, for another person pisses me off. How can something end like that? You know I think that everything show more falls on her. She is the hero. She gives up everything for everyone else. She gives up her happiness for her mother. She gives up her body for some random girls car. Just to make her brother happy. Pardon me step Brothers see, even I'm doing it. But you get my point here? She gives up everything for everyone else. She puts herself in danger, for her family for that race. Plus she has this abusive mother who is a scattered brained freakazoid. The only person that loves her like a parent, isn't even her parent. I mean yes he's her stepdad, and stepdads can love you like you're their blood, but I mean. Oh my God I don't even know what I mean. I I'm sitting here in tears crying over the ending of this book. And I agree in the first book the guys should have gone after her. And dragged her ass home. And I don't know what the next book is about, but I am hoping that's what happens next. She deserves to be happy. Caroline should get a cock out of her goddamn mouth, and tell caine to go after shelby. Okay so now that I'm finished griping, what do you think? Are there spoilers? Lol. Okay I'm going to go and read the other book. show less
I loved how this story started out going in one direction but ending up in a totally different one! I thought the story was very well written, not slavishly adhering to the regular M/M formulas.
