I really dislike how these types of books are advertised. So be aware, that this is not a complete story - it looks like it takes four books to get to the HEA. And there may be overarching story arcs that you need to read 3 or 4 of these "mini-series" to get closure on. If you don't mind working through all that, the story is about average. Some of the characters are a bit overplayed in order to justify choices for the plotline, but it's enjoyable enough if you're looking for an easy read.
The title of this book is misleading and unfortunate. Secret baby implies that this is a formulaic book and that the heroine has hidden the hero's baby from him and he finds out about it in the first part of the book and the rest of the book is the fallout and how they get back together and become a happy family. Not the case here. The baby is his from a one night stand and the hero has had custody for 8 months before the story starts. This is a book about the hero falling in love with his show more daughter's doctor. It covers several serious themes such as addiction, childhood transplants, and immigrant mores clashing with more open American culture.

The characterization was well done. You could see the hero dealing with his recovery from addiction and the heroine learning to step beyond the rigid expectations of her family. I really liked the hero and how all in he was for the heroine and for his daughter. The way that the Indian family dealt with their daughter seemed realistic and an honest portrayal of how some can be and how old traditions linger on.

OMG, this book was amazing. It caught my interest and held it up until the end. I enjoyed all of the stories, but one. Even that story wasn't bad, though it did take a chapter or so to catch my interest. I would probably still check out the book because I would like to know what happened. Reading this book, I have definitely found some new authors to follow and collect. I hope everyone will give this book a chance. You will not show more regret it. BLACK CHRISTMAS BY JC ANDRIJESKI:

This complete story in a very few pages made me want to know more about both Miri and Quentin. Miri is having a rough time and her friends are helping out – except for the person she is avoiding talking to and yet wants to spend time with. Very well written and a wonderful contribution to this anthology! Thank you to JC for the copy to read and review.
