Rock You was a free e-book I found for my Kindle. I had really no expectations for this book. Surprisingly, I found it interesting and the story line different from other rock star romance books. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger. Again, a trilogy that should have been one book to begin with.
Violet ran a bar, managed gigs for bands and was a hard ass. She didn't take shit from anyone, or at least tried to not. Razer was in a band and had a major thing for Violet. He pestered her endlessly and wasn't about to give up. And then Alex showed up with his bad boy good looks, leather pants and smart mouth. Bring on the competition. Throw in a couple of ditzy bartenders, a perv owner and you've got you a wild ride.
Would give it 5 but I'm mad about the ending. I never like an unfinished book and darned if this one left me stranded. I liked the characters and the storyline. Ruby was independent, yet still needing the security that Tex provided. Tex it seemed was just escaping the only way he knew how.
It's the conclusion of the wonderful Fallen Star series and Tex is on a roll with his career and his house is finished being rebuilt. But Ruby is still shaken after the kidnapping and feels that may be Tex needs someone stronger. Is there going to be a HEA for Tex and Ruby?
This was a great finish for a great series. Ruby shows strength she didn't know she had and Tex has to deal with his past so he can live happily with his future.
