"Deadly Games" is yet another winner for me from Jaycee Clark. It's almost scary how well she writes her villains. And it doesn't seem to matter if they are male or female, she imbues them with a sense of menace and absolute amorality.

Rori is ready to retire. Her unique upbringing and parental situation resulted in the perfect contract killer--the Raven. Her job has made her extremely wealthy even though she's careful to screen her jobs in an effort to make sure those she kills really need show more killing. But there's something 'off' with this last job offer and Rori decides to investigate even more closely than normal. What she finds is her alter-ego in male form.

Ian is a master of disguise and works so deeply undercover, sometimes it's hard to remember just who he really is. When his covers are blown as he rescues a small child from a porn ring, he sets into play the plans he's had for all these years...with one difference...the Raven will be coming with him.

Thrills and chills just aren't enough to describe these books by Jaycee Clark. She makes you believe in her characters and this book where both hero and heroine are killers is a prime example. It would have been hard for me to imagine a story with lead characters who were killers that I would enjoy...yet here it is. I liked both Rori and Ian. Their characters and morals may be different from mine, but in their world those morals are necessary to keep the rest of 'us' safe. Two flawed individuals who work together to save a child and end up saving themselves. I've already ordered book three and sent the author an email to ask about book five. I like this series that much.

"Deadly Shadows" wasn't my first read by Jaycee Clark...and it won't be my last either. Clark manages to imbue her stories with menace that can give me a chill down my spine. Her ability to invoke absolute evil in her villains is downright freaky.

Jesslyn lived through unspeakable pain and sadness when she lost both her husband and her children to a drunk driver. Just as she begins to feel strong enough to 'live' instead of 'exist', she's again subjected to loss. She stumbles on the body of show more her dear friend, blood-soaked and dead and catches just the outline of her fleeing murderer. If that's not enough to deal with, she's also very attracted to her new 'guest'. And since nobody feels she's safe, she agrees to stay in the main house with him. But the murderer isn't done, and he isn't done with Jesslyn either.

Spooky, sexy, and scintillating. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. My only beef was in the identity of the villain. I didn't think I'd gotten enough clues to guess his identity...he kind of came out of left field and that bugged me. But it didn't bug me enough to kill my enjoyment of the overall story. If the rest of Clark's 'Deadly' series is about the rest of the Kinncaid brothers, I can see a book-buying spree in my future. And won't the hubby just love that! These brothers' motto is "This I'll defend", and they are fierce in their love ***sigh***. Anyway, if you like your romance chilling and a bit eerie, try out "Deadly Shadows".

Jaycee Clark can craft psychos with amazing skill. In "Deadly Ties" she's come up with a female villain that will scare the pants off you! This is book two in her 'Deadly' series about the Kinncaid men and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

Taylor spends her time working and celebrating the joys of her adopted son Ryan. Ryan still needs extra time to adjust after almost being killed by his drug-addicted psychotic mother. Thankfully, she's now in jail and Taylor and Ryan moved to a new show more town to start over...hopefully leaving bad memories behind. But Ryan still has a secret he hasn't yet shared with Taylor. Sometimes he 'sees' things that are or will happen. And the bad news is--he just 'saw' his mother escaping from prison and headed for them.

Gavin is a dedicated OB/GYN and charming ladies' man. His meeting with Taylor isn't exactly cordial...a battered pregnant teen has just died and Gavin was unable to save either the teen or the unborn child. Of course, that doesn't explain why he and Taylor, her social worker, strike such sparks off each other. And when, a few hours later, he comes upon Taylor and Ryan after their car skidded off the road, it doesn't explain why he feels such a need to ensure their safety.

Another excellent suspense story from Jaycee Clark. Her sex scenes are hot and ride the line between erotic and romantic. They are graphic, but still don't quite cross the line for me. Her characters become so real, they stay in your mind even after the book is finished. I enjoy that and am now off to order book three and read book four!

Yes. After reading the other books in Jaycee Clark's 'Deadly' series, I finally got "Deadly Obsession". It's another spine-tingler that will have you shuddering and cringing from the twisted, psychotic villain and his obsession with the heroine.

Christian has made her home with the Kinncaid's for the last nine years. She still can't quite remember how she came to their home, but will be forever thankful that they offered her terrified younger self a safe haven and a family so much better than show more the one she fled. And now, as an adult, she and Brayden Kinncaid are finally facing the feelings that have grown between them. But just when Christian thinks her life is her own...she acquires a stalker. And it's not just any stalker, it's the one she fled from all those years ago. His message to 'his Angel'? 'You'll always be mine.'

I still get shivers writing that last sentence. I'll say again that Clark can write some of the scariest psychos you'll ever read about. Now I have to find out why the youngest Kinncaid brother's story hasn't been published yet. Cause it's one I want to read.
