How to Draw 1001 Funny People is sub-titled "Eady Step-by-Step Drawing," an accurate description of the book. There are two to three drawings on a page, so it is a short book with no written explanations.

This book will help people in two ways, First of all, being a coompendium of stereotypes, the book makes it easy for the observer to identify the type of person one has drawn. Some of the people drawn are baby, astronaut, doctor, Pharoah, cowboy, Greek soldier, opera singer, pirate, and show more waiter. Even though the book is published in the United States, several of the people such as judge, farmer, firemean, and sailor are of obvious British interpretation.

Secondly, there is step-by-step drawing. The technique used is one of lines than of shapes, which some people may like and others may not.

Since the book is written for children, adults may not be attracted to it. But adults will find the caatalog of stereotypes interesting and useful.

This is not what I expected. I was expecting a book that would provide step by step directions on how to draw these monsters. Instead, this book is a guide on how to draw better monsters. You need a certain amount of skill and knowledge in order to be able to benefit from this book. I lack the requisite skill and knowledge. This may be a good book, but it is not for me.
Simple step-by-step line illustrations make it easy for children to draw with confidence. Each title contains 101 different images in all manner of shapes, sizes and poses.
