A bit predictable from the first 50 pages, and somewhere in the back half there is a missed plot point which threw me off. But the recovery was quick when I decided to try not to find where I missed it and just moved forward. There could have been a bit more conflict with the main characters which would have made the final outcome more satisfying. With all that said, the story did keep me entertained enough to finish through to the end. Likable, but not the best romance book I've ever read.
The story of Nick and Beth is unlike any story I usually read. It's a delicate story touching issues that happen all too often our high school, college, or young adult years. Beth just wants to do well in school. She wants her boyfriend to respect her. Nick is a guy who's pretty focused on his own girlfriend until Beth's boyfriend pulls his own stupid stunts, forcing Nick to protect Beth at all possible costs. Beth, meanwhile, is thrown into turmoil and has trouble coming to terms with show more everything that happened to her.

The events are realistic, as well as the raw emotions that come with it. The characters are life-like and the story line ends on a satisfactory note. I really like how Nick encourages Beth to take back control rather than let this control and consume her. It's not easy to tell someone that and it's definitely not easy to hear it.

I enjoyed this Christmas romance. I voluntarily chose to review it and I've given it a 4.5* rating. Torn between two men, the heroine should have a clear cut decision to make, but has trouble making those decisions. Lots of twists and turns makes this a page turner, I wanted to know more. Not really for the under 18 readers, a little too much adult content. I'm on to Starlight Magic.

I really enjoyed this Christmas Romance. I've voluntarily chose to review this and I gave it a 4.5*. This heroine is recovering from abuse and low self esteem and not being able to trust people. There are a lot of twists and turns to keep you wanting to turn those pages Because of the abuse, not sure this is for the under 18 readers. Lots of animals and children in this.
