This is a well-written book (4 stars) on something I find extremely tedious (1 star): Microsoft Office 2010. I averaged and rounded up to 3 stars.
This book is great for a first-time database creator. It teaches the reader how to create and maintain relational databases in Microsoft Access 2007, offering step-by-step instructions and hands-on exercises to ensure that you really "get" it. The huge number of color screenshots in this book are a plus. I would definitely recommend this book if you want to learn a variety of MS Access functions.
This is one of those textbooks that I've found very useful over and over again. It has clear, simple diagrams, screen caps and directions for just about anybody.

It covers Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook 2002 plus VERY beginning instructions. (turning on a computer, input devices like a mouse and keyboard, software vs. hardware, purchasing/installing/maintaining a computer, etc.)

I've found it very useful to go back to since I don't work with Powerpoint, Excel and Access very show more much. Every time I need to do something in one of those programs, this book is THE reference book I use to remind me how to do the basic and/or complex tasks that I need to get done.

I give it 4 stars because while the ring binding is great for having the book lay flat, these kinds of books don't "wear" well and the pages will come loose if you aren't careful with it.

This was my textbook for Introduction to Microcomputers at Ivy Tech Community College. The book provides how to examples and activities to learn the Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access. This book is easy to follow and uses many pictures to help show you exactly what your screen should look like while completing any of the tasks in the book. While I knew that I had many of the skills from previous experience in the office program it wasn't until I took this course that show more I learned how proficient I could be in the programs and how fun they could be as well. If you have the extra money to get this book and want to learn how to run these programs to work for you you should invest in this book. It will be money well-spent. show less
